S2i Digital intègre les rip’s s logiciels ouverts de Harlequin. Ce RIP est un interpréteur pour les langages PostScript 3 et PDF, dont les performances sont en rapport avec la plate-forme sur laquelle il fonctionne. Le traitement du RIP permet de traduire le langage de description de page du document reçu pour le convertir en rasterisant et en tramant pour un périphérique au choix. Il s’installe sur un serveur fonctionnant sur les plates formes standards comme MacOsX et Windows.
